The unfair one
A review from someone who was never a client, the wrong firm, a competitor, or an opposing party airing the dispute on Google instead of in court.
For Central Coast / 805 law firms
Prospective clients from Ventura to Santa Barbara Google you before they call. ReviewRehab helps 805 firms recover from unfair, outdated, or unanswered reviews, then strengthen the listing with professional responses and ethical invitations to real clients. No fake reviews. No promise to erase truthful feedback.
Compliance-aware. Built for California lawyers, not for shortcuts that put a listing, or a license, at risk.
The problem
You did not imagine it. On the Central Coast, referrals still matter, and so does Google. Maps surfaces what’s recent, extreme, or unanswered. A prospective client in Oxnard, Camarillo, or Santa Barbara rarely scrolls far enough to see the rest of the record, especially when the first star they see is a 1.0.
A review from someone who was never a client, the wrong firm, a competitor, or an opposing party airing the dispute on Google instead of in court.
A prior firm name, a dissolved partnership, an old associate, or a matter from years ago, still sitting on the listing prospective clients see first.
Review bombing after a high-profile case, a cluster of unanswered one-stars, or a single matter that now speaks for the whole practice.
How it works
Recovery is not a deletion button. It is a sequence of careful work for a law practice: know what the listing is doing to intake, decide what’s removable under Google’s rules, answer the rest professionally, and earn newer reviews that are actually true.
01
We read the Google Business Profile the way a prospective client would: rating history, duplicate listings, unanswered one-stars, name confusion, and the specific posts dragging intake down.
02
You get a written recovery plan. What’s likely off-policy. What needs a careful public response (without discussing the matter). What should stay. How we’ll invite genuine reviews from real clients without crossing State Bar advertising rules.
03
We file removal requests where platform rules actually support them, clean up listing details, and draft replies in the firm’s voice for partner approval. Truthful client feedback is not “handled” by pretending it didn’t happen.
04
Monitoring, a response playbook, and a review-invitation rhythm that stays inside Google policy and California ethics guidance, so one difficult matter is less likely to define next year’s intake.
We will not promise to remove a legitimate review. If a client had a real experience, the professional move is a response that protects confidentiality, and when ethics allow, making it easier for other real clients to be heard too.
Platforms
One messy Google listing can outweigh a polished website. We meet 805 firms on the networks that send the next consultation.
Business Profile and Maps, where most 805 clients look before they call or take a referral.
Avvo and similar lawyer listings, when they still influence how a prospect vets the firm.
Relevant for consumer-facing practices (PI, family, criminal defense), not every boutique.
Apple Maps, Bing, and industry boards. We start where your next client actually finds you.
Who it’s for
If you own, manage, or run intake for a law firm in Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, or nearby 805 communities, and the Google story has drifted from the work you actually do, this is for you. If you want fake five-stars overnight, it isn’t.
Intake lives on Google. A cluster of one-stars after a single matter can quietly reroute referrals across the 805.
Opposing parties and high-emotion matters show up as reviews. Public replies have to protect the client and the record.
Prospective clients search ratings under stress. Unanswered rants and name confusion should not be the first impression.
Families Google before they sit down. Outdated listings and leftover reviews from a prior partnership still steer calls.
Trust is the product. Language, hours, and a calm public record on Maps matter as much as the consultation itself.
Owners in Ventura, Conejo, and Santa Barbara still check Google. A thin or damaged profile looks like a thin firm.
Dental, medical, financial, and other professional practices on the 805 are welcome when the work is the same: honest Google reputation recovery, no fake reviews. We don’t claim your board’s ethics rules. We stay inside platform policy, and you stay in charge of professional judgment. Law firms remain the lead.
FAQ
If you need something promised that we can’t do, we’d rather lose the call than take the work.
Only when they violate the platform’s rules: fake accounts, the wrong firm, hate speech, conflicts of interest, or other policy issues. Truthful reviews from real clients stay. Anyone who guarantees deletion of legitimate reviews is either overselling or planning to break the rules.
We work inside Google’s policies and with California lawyers’ advertising and solicitation constraints in mind. We do not buy reviews, invent clients, or coach testimonials that would mislead. Public responses are drafted for your approval. We are not your ethics counsel. If a tactic would put the listing or the license at risk, we will not use it.
We help you invite genuine reviews from real clients in a way that stays on the right side of platform rules and professional conduct, typically after a matter is closed, without pressure, and without offering anything of value for a star rating. We will not write a solicitation script that asks you to do something the State Bar would not want on letterhead.
Public replies never discuss the matter, the client, or anything privileged. We default to short, professional language that acknowledges the post without litigating it on Google. You approve every response before it goes live.
You’ll have a clear audit and written plan within the first two weeks. Visible rating movement depends on volume, how many posts are actually off-policy, and how quickly genuine new reviews come in. We set those expectations on the first call, not after you’ve paid.
Law firms on the Central Coast are the primary practice. Dental, medical, financial, and other 805 professional offices are welcome when the job is the same: diagnose the Google listing, respond professionally, request removals where policy allows, and invite genuine reviews from real clients. We stay inside Google’s rules. Your own licensing board remains yours. We don’t pretend to be industry ethics counsel.
Then the work is different: respond with accountability, protect confidentiality, and make it possible for other real clients to leave reviews too. A fair two-star shouldn’t be deleted. It should be answered, and balanced by the rest of the real record.
